Yoga As Pranam

In these sessions we get on the yoga mat or if that is not possible or desired, you can be seated in a chair or lying on the massage table. You are fully clothed, preferably in flexible clothing, and invited to move into various asanas (poses) from which we can discover more fully areas of the body where you are experiencing restriction, decreased range of motion and/or pain. We move slowly and often stay in poses to decipher root causes of restriction and ways of utilizing the poses to stretch and strengthen muscles, realign fascia and lubricate joints. I use hands on adjustments and acupressure massage to facilitate opening and release. You gain deeper knowledge of the embodied self, differentiation between parts of the body and the body as a whole, and possible mind-body patterns that are contributing to tension and dysfunction. You leave with a home practice to complement the work we do. These sessions naturally complement a full massage treatment but also stand on their own.

Yoga & Massage Combo

About

In these sessions we flow together on the mat to explore movement as a meditation and awareness in action. This style of yoga is pioneered and taught by my teacher, Shiva Rea. Here we honour both the outer form of a pose and the inner experience of the form; in other words, your lived experience while in the pose, while in the flow. With very little spoken dialogue, we move with music, using imagery and metaphor to help you move out of your head and further into your body and imagination. This style of flow supports those looking to develop an intimate relationship with the energetic as well as the anatomical body. These sessions naturally complement a full meditative massage treatment but also stand on their own.

Prana Vinyasa Movement Meditation

About

In these sessions, we dive deeper into an exploration of spirit through movement meditation as prayer. We cultivate flowing presence through breath, mudra, mantra and simple movement. This is a Universal flow accessible to everyone and can be done standing, sitting, lying down or any combination thereof. This is an opportunity to dip into the non verbal flow as we listen to our hearts and speak through our bodies.
